Two freestone nectarines spanning August. Sunglo opens the season; Nectafest carries it into early September.
Sunglo
Early-Mid August · FreestoneHardy yellow-flesh freestone with rich red blush over golden skin. Aromatic and sweet-tart — outstanding fresh, excellent for jams and baking.
Nectafest
Mid-Late August · FreestoneLarge, dark-red freestone with firm yellow flesh and bold sweet flavor. Holds its quality well after picking — great fresh or for canning.
Peach Flavor, Smooth Skin
Nectarines and peaches are the same species — nectarines just lack the fuzz. Like our peaches, they're picked dead-ripe and bruise easily. Bring shallow containers and eat them within a few days.
