Thank You — We Have Never Seen a Season Like This

Our 2026 peaches are completely sold out. Every last one. In the years this family has farmed on Euler Road, that has never happened before.

The demand came from everywhere at once. Families made the drive out from Rochester weekend after weekend. Local restaurants called looking for fruit for their kitchens. Grocery stores called. One customer drove all the way up from Tennessee and left with more than eighty boxes. And the part we are quietly proudest of: not a single good peach went to waste. Everything worth picking got picked, sold, eaten, canned, or frozen by somebody.

For a small family orchard, that is about the best outcome there is. Thank you — genuinely. You did that.

An Honest Word About the Growing Year

We would rather tell you the truth than dress it up: 2026 was a hard growing year. An early-season drought and a run of difficult weather put real stress on the trees. That is a large part of why the crop ran out when it did — it was not a bumper year, and there was less fruit to go around than in a kind season.

That is farming. Some years the weather gives and some years it takes, and no amount of planning changes what the sky decides to do. What we can tell you is that the fruit that did come off these trees was good. Early Red Haven, Red Haven, Canadian Harmony, Catherina, and Cresthaven all came in with real flavor. We grow using organic practices with no systemic pesticides, the same way this farm has done it since 1973, and that does not change with a tough year.

Important: The Farm Is Not Closed — Apples Are On

Peaches are finished for 2026, but Fisher's Fruit is very much open, and apple season is just getting going. Please do not read "sold out" and assume there is nothing here — this is the best stretch of our whole year.

Gala and Macoun are picking now, with Fuji and Golden Delicious close behind and Honeycrisp and Empire arriving as September gets underway. Pick-your-own apples are $14 per 8-quart bag or $40 per bushel. Our pears have started as well, with Bartlett leading off.

If you were coming for peaches, come for apples instead. It is a twenty-five minute drive from Rochester, and the orchard is at its best right now.

See You Next Summer

Peach season here usually opens in late July and runs into early September as the varieties come in one after another. We will be back with the same trees, the same practices, and — weather permitting — a fuller crop.

To everyone who made the drive, called ahead, filled a trunk, or told a friend about us this summer: we are looking forward to seeing the same faces next year. Bring the ones you told.
